Boise and Lagoon

So A lot of things have happened since the last post, and when I tried to get the pictures up, they all went out of order for some reason. If there isn't a caption, just assume they're of crazy whateverness.






Rachel didn't have much luck tossing the pizza.


Alex ordered a new guitar and it got here this week, He was at work, so he had me email him a picture of it. Of course this is what I did.

Something is wrong with my phone where It randomly decides to Shut off every once in a while, so the warranty people sent me a new battery in this bag. The battery didn't help at all so I need to call them and get an entire new phone.

For Halloween, We were the Entire Incredibles family Plus Frozone. We got asked to leave the Heritage Halls party because of the masks and the pants.

Moises was Richard Simmons, even though he had to go to rehearsal instead of trick-or-treating.

Cleaning week

This week started off great and disgusting when we played the Skittles game at FHE.

I think the pictures speak for themselves.

Our cleaning check was on Thursday night, and since we hadn't thought too much about cleaning before we heard that cleaning checks were this week, we had to get busy. Fortunately, Aaron our RA was pretty easy, and just had us touch up a few things while he was inspecting.

We passed, so we broke out some Martinelli that Jeremiah bought because it was cheap.

Alex and I like to have ours in a little bigger quantity.

Friday night was a birthday party for 2 girls in our ward, Cami and Stacey. It was a very stuffing party that involved quite a few eating contests, including a race to see who could get the ENTIRE apple down. I got a close... 3rd.

After that party, Lauren came over from a Blacklight danceparty, and drank some IBC... and then we played rockband.

So, A bunch of friends and I were planning on going to Lagoon on Saturday. We spent the whole week getting excited for the roller coasters and Frightmares. THEN we found out that it was going to be really crowded because the entire state of Utah didn't have school thursday or friday. So, we decided to reschuedule since everyone had a ton of homework anyway. Instead we were going to go on a hike. Mt. Timp has been teasing me for the past few weeks, the first weekend I would have been able to climb, it snowed. Last weekend it was melting a little, but not really enough to get to the top. This weekend it was finally clear enough, but we hadn't planned on it so we couldn't really just pick up and go. Next weekend we'll be in boise, and the next is when we reschueduled Lagoon. By that time I'm sure there will be snow for the remainder of the year, so hopefully it melts before I leave on my mission next summer.

Instead we "hiked" (by hiking I mean walked on a cement path) to Bridal veil falls. The only people who came ended up being Me, Jessica and Amy. Amy has something wrong with her knee, so Jessica and I were the only ones that made it up the waterfall after we left the cement path.

When we got back from that, it was the entire Heritage Halls Halloween party, so of course we had the best costumes there. Jacob and I were the 1920's Gangsters, and Alex was our pilot/hitman.

When we arrived, our group was completed.

We came home with 12 pizzas and a box of doughnuts, enough to last... maybe 2 days.

Homecoming!

So this week was BYU's homecoming, and with that comes a lot of great fun, and a lot of excuses to not study.

The first cam on Wednesday with "True Blue Football" which actually doesn't involve that much football, mostly just a feild full of blue foam.

Thursday night I went to the Homecoming Spectacular with 4 girls. (It sounds cooler if I just leave off the part about them having an extra ticket) It was really cool to see a lot of BYU's performing groups, including the men's chorus with Jacob and Faldee Raldee.

Friday night was an Organ Recital that I needed to go to for my Music class. Megan needed to go to, so we were planning to go to panda express before, and just call that Homecoming since the dances were all lots of money. The line was pretty long, so we went over to the malt shoppe, where the line was shorter, but after we ordered we had to wait much longer for our food. We ended up being too late to the recital, so instead we just finished our shakes at home.

Later that night we found ourselves with a big group of people over at their apartment not really doing anything. Then Jacob and I saw a perfect example of when 2 girls think they should document a moment by shoving their heads together, making some smoochie or smiley face, sticking a camera out in front of them and taking a really bad picture. This is what we did to make fun of them a little bit.

The next morning, Emily was in town with her and Megan's moms, so like wonderful moms, they took us out to breakfast at a really good bakery place called kneaders. Probably the best french toast I've ever had.

That evening the football game was freezing, and the team didn't play the best... again. BUT there was a really cool sunset, and we still won, and we still have the longest winning streak in the nation by a lot. (So Tyler, you can't even talk about BSU's team compared to ours)

It's been a while

So... since I haven't posted anything for about 3 weeks this one might be a long one...

A while ago... I'm not even sure how long, we ventured to the all-famous Bean museum, a great building with a lot of mounted friends.

Later that week Rachel came over for a BBQ pork lunch, and got a little excited.

That saturday was the 2nd BYU shut-out in a row against wyoming... too bad they couldn't do a little better this week.

That night was the first official BYU Date, and like everyone else in the world... we went bowling.

The following Monday we had a stake service project:

They missed the first time so.....

They got it this time, it just took FOREVER... 12 minutes I think was the official time. They guy right before me did his in 4... Don't know how he did that.

Since this week was also "Safety Week" at the safety seminar, the police officer that was there said something to me: "Don't be stupid in a no stupid zone"

So we made a sign to warn people.

Then we realized that we miss Sean, our roommate that left us...

That week was the BYU choral showcase that Jacob was singing at. So naturally, that was BYU date #2, but unfortunately I did not take any pictures of our potato-chip chicken fingers OR the concert...

But after, we had a visit from some other friends. Lauren (who was also part of the showcase) decided to get her hand stuck in the railing outside our door.

That weekend, a big party of us decided to go to Iron Man at the dollar-movie. Some of them had just finished having their own Hairspray party:

We neglected the fact that this was a dollar movie in a college town, and the movie was sold out. Thankfully Lance lives pretty close to Provo, so we went over to his house to watch a movie.

The next night (Date #3) We went to Hancock, which we actually got into. After, we came out to find the car had gone missing. Apparently it was a no-parking zone, so after searching around the cars that were still there (hadn't been towed...) We found a sign about 5o feet down that said we weren't allowed to park there... yes I was very mad.

The next week, at Chelsea's birthday party, we discovered a great new game, Swedish Twister:

This is something that isn't entirely new. Jacob (and I guess I do to...) Really likes to sing in the shower. LOUD:

Friday night we watched the kind-of disappointing football game, and it was a really good thing Alex knew how to work the remote.

That brings us to this weekend, General Conference!

I'm proud to say that I was concious for All 10 hours. Although priesthood session in the marriott center started getting to me.
